The SMC AR-D Series is a precision, modular pressure regulator designed as the core control component within SMC’s D-generation F.R.L. (Filter, Regulator, Lubricator) units. Its primary function is to provide accurate, stable secondary pressure control for pneumatic systems, ensuring consistent actuator performance.
Engineered for seamless integration, its compact modular design allows it to be directly and securely mounted upstream to an AF-D filter (or AFM-D/AFD-D separator) and downstream to an AL-D lubricator, creating a streamlined and space-efficient air preparation assembly. A key innovation is its integrated push-to-lock pressure setting mechanism. By simply pushing and turning the adjustment knob, the setting locks in place, preventing accidental changes due to vibration or inadvertent contact—a critical feature for process stability and safety.
