The MK – GC cryogenic control valve is a cage – guided control valve, which uses stainless – steel structural materials and an extended bonnet. The valve is available in two designs: pressure – balanced design and non – pressure – balanced design. Designed to be used for throttling or on – off control of liquids and gases in cryogenic conditions as low as – 198℃, these cryogenic valves are well – equipped for such extreme cold environments.

Large – flow valves equipped with pressure – balanced trim allow the use of smaller and more cost – effective actuators, thus reducing installation costs in high – pressure and high – flow applications.

  • Different cage/spool types offer special flow characteristics for highly specialized applications. Interchangeable, flow – limiting trim and full – size trim meet the various process flow requirements of highly specialized applications. Standard cages typically have two different flow characteristics: equal percentage and linear.
  • Cryogenic spring – loaded seal rings — The seal rings and related valve parts in the valve are specially designed and manufactured to perform excellently at low temperatures.
  • Stable control — The sturdy cage – guiding device in the valve can stabilize the spool at all points of its stroke, reducing vibration, mechanical noise, and acting as a hydraulic shock absorber.
  • Cost – effective operation and maintenance economy — Enhanced wear resistance of hardened stainless – steel trim means longer operating hours. The balanced spool structure of the valve allows the use of smaller and more cost – effective actuators.
  • Cryogenic design — The stainless – steel valve body and the bonnet with pre – fabricated extensions meet the requirements of cryogenic operating conditions. The unique metal – to – metal seat design enables repeated tight shut – off, reducing maintenance costs.
  • Robust metal seat — The metal – to – metal seat is designed and manufactured to provide long – lasting, reliable, and tight shut – off at both ambient and low temperatures without the need for regular lapping. Even in applications with strict shut – off requirements, this reduces the need for soft seats.
  • Prevention of fugitive emissions — An optional low – leakage packing system provides improved stem sealing, helping to prevent the loss of valuable or harmful process fluids and keeping emissions below the EPA limit of 100 ppm. Additionally, these dynamically – loaded packing systems can operate stably for a long time at low temperatures, helping to reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
  • Thoroughly tested — These valves have undergone extensive cryogenic testing during the design and development phase. For most applications, expensive cryogenic testing as required is no longer necessary, thus accelerating delivery and reducing costs.
  • Easy maintenance — It is convenient to quickly replace trim components. With a clamped – in seat ring, the disassembly time can be shortened. When disassembling trim parts for inspection or maintenance, there is no need to remove the valve from the pipeline.
