MK-VB V-Port Ball Valve

The shearing action between the V-notch ball core and the hemispherical sealing ring enhances the flow performance during valve operation and better prevents clogging. The unobstructed straight-through flow path design improves the flow capacity for gases, steam, liquids, and fibrous slurries.

The MK-VB V-port ball valve features a partially spherical disc with a V-shaped cutout. It increases the rangeability while providing a shearing action against the seal ring upon closure, making it suitable for applications requiring high rangeability.

The MK-VB V-port valve can be mated with EN flanges and various ASME raised-face flanges.

The seal ring can be manufactured from various metallic and non-metallic materials to meet specific application requirements. The splined drive shaft, compatible with either automated or manual actuators, provides reliable and efficient modulating or on/off control for various applications in the process industry.

• Interchangeable Trim: The trim for flanged and wafer-style valves is interchangeable. This feature reduces spare part requirements.

• Easy Installation: The integral body flanges can mate with piping flanges of various classes, meeting diverse piping requirements. The flanges help eliminate exposed piping flange bolts, reduce alignment and installation time, and improve valve installation reliability and piping integrity.

• Wide Application Range: Standard constructions are available with face-to-face dimensions per ISA S75.08.02 and IEC 543-3-2; optional constructions offer short face-to-face dimensions per ASME B16.10. IEC 543-3-2 face-to-face dimensions are identical to ISA S75.08.02.

• Long Service Life: The rugged HD hemispherical seal ring construction ensures a long service life even under severe service conditions. The seal ring continuously wipes the sealing surface of the ball core, preventing scale and sludge buildup and delivering excellent performance with steam, gas, slurries, and various liquids.

• Excellent Flow Capacity: The precisely contoured V-port provides a modified equal percentage flow characteristic. For highly precise low-flow control, small-size valves can be equipped with a mini-notch ball core.
