The SMC AF-D Series is a general-purpose air filter designed for removing water, rust, and solid particles from compressed air lines. It utilizes a combination of impact and centrifugal separation.
The incoming air is directed against a baffle plate (impact), then spun (centrifugal force) to separate liquid and solid contaminants, which are collected in a transparent bowl for easy monitoring.
A key feature is its focus on maintenance and durability. The transparent bowl is protected by a sturdy 360° polycarbonate cover that guards against impact and UV rays. It offers flexible drainage with options for a semi-auto drain or a manual drain with a lockable lever to prevent accidental opening. The filter element can be replaced without removing the bowl, and the entire unit is designed for compatibility within SMC’s modular AC-D series of air preparation equipment.
